moral blogger toolsAfter many, many trials over the last 6 years, I’ve finally stopped looking at tools for Internet marketing. I’ve seen, and used, most of them in the past and spent silly money on trying to find the golden key to unlock the moolah.

I’ve now settled on a few base tools…and that’s all I need. I do buy the odd program, but only if I know it will help me…and I test it first.

These are the base tools for Internet marketing I use, but I do change every now and again because certain tools do have a tendency to get left behind in the IM world.

Hostagator
I’ve been hosting sites with them for over 15 years and they have never let me down. They are cheap, professional and stable. I won’t be changing any time soon. I use the baby gator package that allows me unlimited domains and bandwidth. If it ain’t broke, don’t try fixing it. in fact, if you decide to go for Hostgator hosting, put in my coupon code exactly as this MoralBlogger and see a bit of magic happen at checkout!

GoDaddy
I’ve used dozens of Domain name companies, but always seem to go back to GoDaddy. They’re well priced and the interface is very easy to use, especially when changing over nameservers and searching for new domains.

Namecheap
I do use other domain name companies every now and again, especially if they have an offer on, but Namecheap is the simplest domain name company to use. It makes changing name-servers and transferring domain names as easy as pie. And they offer great value with the price of domains too..

MyThemeShop
This is my ‘go to’ WordPress Theme supplier. This blog uses the Schema theme and I use 4 from mythemeshop for my websites. They are easy to set up, have lots of options, are a decent price and have great support. They also have a ton of offers throughout the year including deals on their themes and plugins. I’ve used many WP themes in my time but I always come back to MyThemeShop. They have loads of free themes too…take a look here.

Keyword Researcher Pro
The only keyword tool I use. This little beauty can find hundreds of Keywords that you would never find on some paid for software. The interface is easy to use and as fast as stink on a monkey! I do use the Google Keyword Tool in conjunction with Keyword Research Pro, but only as a back up to get a ball park figure of numbers.

EasyAzon
This plugin is a mighty. mighty time saver! I used to have to do a lot of copying and pasting as wel as searching to get my Amazon links in, but now it’s just a click of a button. It even localizes your links if you have websites in different countries. I don’t use EazyAzon on all my websites, but it’s there if I want a quick link and product image. It’s the best Amazon plugin I’ve used.

Freenom
Free domain names! Get a .tk domain for free, as well as others. This is great if you want to test out WP themes or even better, use them in PPC campaigns where you don’t have to worry about trying to rank. I’ve got two .tk domains that bring in £200+ profit a month from PPC. Not to be sniffed at, so don’t get hung up on .com’s all the time.

That’s all the tools for Internet marketing I need. As I said, I do look at other tools and will buy them if they can make my life easier, but I always test them out first.

So, as you can see, there’s not a lot needed to earn a living online. The only cost really is your time, but if you love what you’re doing, then it’s no real cost as all!

Why I do this…
